Field Trips

This scenic raft trip offers mild rapids and stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. No experience is necessary.

After a short 10 minute bus ride to our South Main outpost, we will outfit everyone for their raft trip where their boats are waiting by the river. We then meander down the beautiful Arkansas River to a private beach take out. Along the way you’ll encounter small class 1 & 2 rapids, float under an old railroad trestle and learn about the area’s history and geology. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for deer, raptors, waterfowl and other wildlife. Relax on the river and take in the breathtaking scenery of the Arkansas Valley and surrounding collegiate peaks.

A great way to experience Colorado at its best, and the beauty of the Buena Vista valley.

This Field Trip presented in collaboration with Buena Vista’s River Runners.
